1971 Kennedy Half Dollar (D) Errors- Slight Doubling On Obverse And Reverse

In an effort to discourage hoarding, a bill was passed near the end of 1970 to change the composition of circulation-strike Kennedy half dollars to consist of two outer layers of copper and nickel bonded to an inner core of pure copper. This 1971 Denver Mint issue is the first year of this change.
