1979 d kennedy half dollar

1979 d kennedy half dollar, gorgeous complement to any collection!! Please see pics for reference. It's almost like the date is rounded on the bottom of the coin, and the lettering is there but small sort of? All I know is to me, as a novice collector myself, me this is obviously unique looking. And my goal is to preferably complete the collection of others as well as complete my own kn the future.
